What does this number measure?

Bagger 293, also designated TAKRAF RB293, is a bucket-wheel excavator commissioned at Hambach on 7 July 1995. Its large wheel removes material and feeds conveyors. To compare its length with buildings and other machines, this reference adopts the 220 m published by Guinness World Records, which also gives a height of 94.5 m. Height is not the axis compared here. Other publications give a length of 225 m and a height of 96 m, including Zeppelin's company magazine Heaven 2020/1. These are differing published values, not a confidence interval or a measured variation during operation. The illustration interprets the whole machine; its mechanical details are not an engineering drawing.

Compare the stated dimensions

The comparison uses the number in each fact sheet: altitude, height, diameter, length or distance, depending on the reference. Two values in metres do not necessarily describe the same property.
