What does this number measure?

The US Tesla Model 3 manual gives an overall length of 4 720 mm for the Rear-Wheel Drive and Long Range versions described in its table. This length of 4.72 m runs from the front to the rear of the vehicle; it should not be confused with the wheelbase, width or height. The same table gives a height of 1.44 m and a width of 1.85 m excluding mirrors. The side-view illustration preserves these general proportions; equipment and details are interpreted. The Performance version is listed separately at 4 724 mm and does not define this reference. Tesla states that its dimensions are approximate and may vary with options and other factors. The reference is the manual consulted on 2 November 2026, not a claim about every Model 3 from every year.

Compare the stated dimensions

The comparison uses the number in each fact sheet: altitude, height, diameter, length or distance, depending on the reference. Two values in metres do not necessarily describe the same property.
